Student Life is a unit with the Division of Student Affairs that is committed to providing meaningful opportunities, programs and services for students that encourage and foster involvement, leadership, diversity, pride, tradition, learning, self-development and success. In other words, we provide opportunities for students to get involved and participate in "out of the classroom" experiences.
Student Life consists of the Center for Student Leadership and Community Engagement, Intercultural and Diversity Center, Greek Affairs, Student Activities, Student Union, and Athletic Bands.

Center for Student Leadership & Community Engagement (CSLCE)
CSLCE helps students develop leadership knowledge and skills to achieve their goals and make a positive difference in their lives and the lives of others.
Marching Band
The Thunder of the East Marching Band is the most visible music performance ensemble at the University at Buffalo. The Band performs at every home football game as well as select away games, community events, and high school marching band exhibitions and competitions.
Intercultural & Diversity Center (IDC)
Intercultural & Diversity Center provides cultural enrichment programming and leadership experiences that increase understanding of the various aspects of diversity, build awareness of diversity issues, and promote and maintain a university climate that celebrates differences/similarities to support a diverse campus population.
Student Activities
Student Activities help students as they develop through their undergraduate experience by creating opportunities to enhance students' curricular and co-curricular lives.
Student Union
The Student Union, serves as the "hearthstone" of the University, providing a variety of social, cultural and educational programs.
